One the list of things I’m most excited for in 2017 is going back to Odaiba and standing in front of the life sized RX-0 Gundam Unicorn. These latest rounds of testing seem to indicate they are pulling out all the transformable stops with animated knees, hips shoulders, face, and unicorn horn.
While I got the sense early on there would be a lot of cool pink hued LED lighting, I was impressed to see them go the extra mile and replicate the dancing light effect in Destroy Mode.
The original Life sized RX-78-2 Gundam was about as mind blowing a thing a Gundam fan could fly half way around the world to see, and it barely did anything. Its head moved around a little and it had some parts that lit up but this Unicorn is taking things to a whole other level.
The debut for the finalized 1:1 Gundam Unicorn is scheduled for September 24th. Get your Full Frontal jokes prepared.
